Nine Pages on Halloween
On 31 October 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin whitepaper. We were busy that night too.

What happened
That night the committee drafted nine pages of its own on how Slopfest tickets could change hands without a trusted cloakroom. It was never published. Someone else's was. Hal Finney read the real one at the bar and understood it at once. Several guests have since claimed to be Satoshi, including the coat check attendant, the only one the committee believes.
