What happened

The committee hired a man in gold paint to translate between guests and the waiters. He spoke six million languages, none of them Viennese, and no coffee was ordered successfully all night. The one exception was Carrie Fisher, who got a Melange in under a minute by pointing at one and raising an eyebrow.
