What happened
Word of a new puzzle from Budapest reached the committee, which made 300 imitations from sugar cubes before ever seeing one. Guests twisted them into 300 unique configurations, most of them sticky. None were solved. The committee declared every configuration correct, a policy it still applies to all submissions.
