The first Cannes festival gave its top prize to eleven films at once. We gave ours to everyone.

What happened
Guests were asked to bring a film, and 40 of them did, mostly holiday footage. All 40 were projected at the same time onto one wall, and all 40 won the Grand Prix. Jean Cocteau presented the awards and added one for the coat rack, which he felt had been overlooked. The trophy was a Kaiserschmarrn in a picture frame.
